Intellectual Property

The intellectual property rights relating to the content (including logos, graphics, trademarks, images, videos, text, as well as the overall design and appearance of the website) and materials related to the Event belong to Eventrium SRL.

Event participants and website visitors are prohibited from copying, altering, modifying, storing, publishing, transferring, selling or distributing the content presented on the website for commercial purposes. The reproduction, copying or use of content available on the website or of materials related to the Event without the prior, express written consent of Eventrium SRL constitutes an infringement of intellectual property rights and is subject to the provisions of Law No. 8/1996 on Copyright and Related Rights.

Use of Image / Assignment of Rights

For the purpose of carrying out promotional and medical education campaigns, the Organizers require participants to grant the necessary economic and related rights concerning their image and to agree that any intellectual property and ownership rights relating to materials and data resulting from video recordings, photographs or online broadcasts shall remain the property of the Organizers.

By registering for the Event and selecting the options confirming their agreement with Eventrium SRL’s policies, participants expressly and unequivocally consent to the assignment of the economic and related rights concerning their image.

Participants also expressly agree to the use of their image by the Organizers for the promotion of the Event through any means selected by the Organizers, including publications, brochures, mass media, social media, the Organizer’s website, the website of the organizing scientific society, the Event website, the Internet, etc., without the need for any additional prior or subsequent authorization.

The assignment of rights relating to the participant’s image is granted free of charge and for an unlimited period of time.

By registering for and participating in the Event, participants acknowledge and agree that any images, photographs or video recordings of them taken by the Organizers during the Event, whether held onsite or online, may be broadcast during the Event and subsequently used for the purpose of promoting the Event.

Accordingly, any video recordings, live broadcasts, photographs or similar materials relating to the participant’s image produced in connection with the Event shall remain the property of the Organizers and may be used by them in accordance with the purposes set out in this agreement.

Any intellectual property rights and ownership rights relating to materials and data resulting from video recordings, photographs or online broadcasts shall remain with the respective rights holder, namely the Organizers.

Where a participant refuses the processing of the personal data referred to above and such processing is necessary for the organization and conduct of the Event, the Organizers reserve the right to restrict the participant’s access to the Event.

Limitation of Liability

The Organizers and Eventrium SRL shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or property damage occurring during the Event, regardless of its cause, provided that such loss, injury or damage is not the result of fault on the part of the Organizers or Eventrium SRL.

If, due to circumstances beyond the Organizers’ control or ability to prevent—including pandemics, acts of terrorism, natural disasters, wars, strikes, legal restrictions, power outages or interruptions to the Internet connection during the Event—the dates or venue of the Event or the scientific programme are changed, or the Event itself is cancelled, the Organizers will make reasonable efforts to reschedule any announced activities or arrange an alternative venue, where possible. However, the Organizers shall not be held liable for any costs, losses, damages or additional expenses incurred by registered participants as a result.

If, for objective and justified reasons and following prior written notification to participants, the Organizers decide to make changes to the announced structure of the Event, including any organizational details, they shall not be responsible for transportation, accommodation or any other costs already incurred by participants.

The Organizers may establish additional rules and regulations at any time, with immediate effect, regarding any aspect of the Event where necessary to ensure its proper organization and conduct. Registered participants are required to comply with such rules and regulations.

Any additions or amendments concerning the organization of the Event will be communicated to participants in due time.

Fees and Payments

Payment of the applicable Event registration fee is due upon registration. If payment is insufficient or declined for any reason, Eventrium SRL reserves the right to refuse access to the Event.

Fees may be subject to Value Added Tax (VAT), which, where applicable, will be charged in addition to the stated fees.

Eventrium SRL collects payments through a third-party online payment processor and does not store payment card details. However, it may retain unique and anonymized payment identifiers.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions constitute the agreement between website users/Event participants and Eventrium SRL.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Romanian law.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with a breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved in accordance with Romanian law. Disputes may be settled amicably, through mediation or, where necessary, before the competent courts of law, namely the courts of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
